  • Can a notarization occur without the person being present?
    No. The person(s) requiring the notarization has to be present at the time of the signing.
  • Can you notarize a document from another state or country?
    Any document can be notarized from any state or country, as long as the notarization act happens within the state of Tennessee. The notarization will occur using Tennessee notarial law. For any questions about international documents or requests, please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
  • What documents cannot be notarized?
    Notaries cannot notarize documents that are recorded with the Secretary of State, County Clerk, or Court.
  • How do I schedule an appointment with CR Notary Public?
    You can schedule an appointment by visiting our website, calling or texting us, or sending us a message. Our hours of operation are: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Sundays we are closed If you need an appointment outside of our hours of operation, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your appointment needs. These appointments may be subject to an additional fee for being scheduled outside of normal business hours.
  • What do I need to bring to my appointment?
    Please bring the document to be notarized, a valid photo ID, the parties who need to sign the document(s), and required witnesses. If you need us to print and bring the documents for you, or provide witnesses for you, we are happy to accommodate these requests. *A printing fee and witness(es) fee will be added to the appointment, and are due immediately.
  • How long will my appointment take?
    The duration of the appointment varies on the request and complexity of the document. A standard notarization typically takes 10-30 minutes. Due to the complexity of loan signings, we ask that you leave up to 2-3 hours to ensure the signing is fully complete and accurate.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Clients may cancel or reschedule their appointment at least 24 hours in advance of their scheduled time without incurring a fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
  • What is your grace period policy?
    A 30-minute grace period is provided for every appointment. After 30-minutes, the client will incur a $25.00 late fee for same-day notarization, or $50.00 rescheduling/cancellation fee.
  • What is your refund policy?
    Refunds are provided under the following conditions: If the notary makes a clerical error and the notary is not able to correct the error, a full refund will be provided. This does not include any late or rescheduling fees, printing fees or witness(es) fees. If the service is not rendered due to the notary's inability to provide the service and a rescheduled appointment is not feasible, a full refund will be issued. Refund requests will be processed the same day. We request 3 to 5 business days for it to appear back on the original payment method. We will also provide proof that the refund has been processed on our end. Non-refundable circumstances include: The client provides incorrect or incomplete information. Services rendered cannot be refunded due to change of circumstance or last-minute decision. We reserve the right to amend our policies in accordance with changes in regulations and business practices.
